Last updated: 2026-05-08

1. Overview

interiornote ("the Editorial") respects your privacy and complies with applicable laws including the GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

We do not operate user accounts or login systems, so we do not directly collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers. The following information may be collected automatically:

  • Access logs (truncated IP address, browser type, OS, timestamp)
  • Page navigation and dwell time (Google Analytics 4, anonymized)
  • Cookies (session, analytics, advertising — you can disable in your browser)

3. Purpose of Use

  • Improve content quality (measure which articles are useful)
  • Diagnose technical issues, balance traffic load
  • Optimize ad delivery (Google AdSense — when active)

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Google Analytics 4 — Anonymous traffic analytics (policy)
  • Cloudflare — CDN and security (policy)
  • Google AdSense — Advertising (when enabled, policy)
  • Affiliate networks — Amazon Associates, Skimlinks, etc. for tracking referral clicks

5. Data Retention

The Editorial does not directly store user information. Third-party services like Google Analytics retain data per their own settings; we apply GA4's standard 14-month auto-deletion option.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Reject or delete cookies (via browser settings)
  • Opt out of Google Analytics (opt-out add-on)
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data → editor@interiornote.org
  • EU/UK residents (GDPR): data portability, right to object, lodge complaint with supervisory authority
  • California residents (CCPA): right to know, delete, and opt out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

7. Children's Privacy

The Editorial does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (US/COPPA) or under 16 (EU/GDPR). If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided personal data, please contact us at the email above and we will delete it promptly.

8. Policy Updates

If this policy changes, the new version and effective date will be posted on this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or footer.
